Well what a year to celebrate!, this season is the 40th Anniversary of the famous 1969 Premiership.
The 69ers as they were affectionatley known as finished off a great year for the club.
The season started with the return of Ray Orchard from Richmond, who finished second behind S.Jolley from Dromana in the League best and fairest vote count. Ray won the "Greig's Shell Petrol Services Award" which he received a $200.00
cheque (not a bad return considering a new Ford XT 500 Sedan was selling for $1980.00).

Langwarrin's Tarone Smith returns to football this season after spending the last two season recouping from the infamous Pines practice match of 2008 which saw Brendan Casper and Smith fall victim to season ending knee injuries only minutes apart from one another.
The "Big Cat" as he is fondly known amongst his peers will be an important inclusion to Langwarrin this season with the potential loss of Tim Ryan (Illness) and Matthew Naughton (Travel) both likely to miss the entire 2010 season.
Smith who went close to a League Best and Fairest in 2006 as a Ruckman, only to be pipped at the post by Rhett Sutton (Rye) in the medal count will add leadership and experience to a young Langwarrin line-up this season.
In other Langwarrin gains this season the Kangas have picked up young Andrew Taylor, Dylan Bosward and Andrew Borrie (YCW) as well as Hadley Tomamichel (Lang Lang).
Andrew Taylor a young utility with excellent ball skills and a very good understanding of where to the find the goals will, with opportunity add some flare through the midfield this season.
Andrew Borrie will help strengthen the forward set up with his height, strong marking abilities and goal kicking, it will make interesting viewing with Brad Wakeling, Ash Moore, Aaron Shaw and Gerard Brown if all fire up forward at the same time this season.
Dylan Bosward will add some height and bulk down back and with further development should hold down a key defensive role over 2010.
Hadley Tomamichel joins the Kanga's from Lang Lang after a two year stint there and has plenty of Peninsula Division experience. Hadley will give the Kanga's some drive in the middle and up forward this season with his strong body and good foot skills.
